I am covered in lots of little specks of black charcoal dust but I loved this exercise. It was nice to swap hands and just continue the work. It was calming and even a little meditative. I feel as though I know charcoal as a medium better now. I did this exercise on the wall rather than on a table and it certainly taught me that my endurance for working upright needs a little work. There are also certain patterns that I revert to drawing automatically and I think this exercise showed me where my comfort zone is. The end result may not be much to look at but I certainly think it shows that I had fun.
